Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA)

U.I.F.S.A. stands for the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act which replaces the Uniform Child Support Enforcement Act or U.R.E.S.A which, at the demand of the federal government has been enacted by all of the states to collect child support throughout the country. While URESA seriously interfered with parents' rights, UIFSA totally destroys them. For example, if you are a parent, the government now has a lien on all of your property. This means by administrative order, i.e., no judge, your bank account can be garnished and your home confiscated without the "interference" of a judge. Further, if the government employees or their private contractor's do this by mistake, or even willfully, the new law purports to grant them immunity from lawsuit. The law requires your employer to report all your personal data to the Tennessee Department of Human Services which maintains a giant BIG BROTHER computer data base with even more data than the IRS computers. Worse, unlike the poorly functioning IRS computers, the Tennessee computers are new, making access easier and quicker.
